Aal Imran Housing has recently started
producing a new type of
Prefabricated Units using Glass Reinforced Cement
(GRC) which offers a host of features. The Units are well insulated
against Sound and Heat Radiation. In addition, they are resistant to
Fire, Water, Humidity and the vagaries of the Desert and Coastal
Environment.
GRC has been highly regarded for its
physical and chemical characteristics, including its longer
durability that competes well with reinforcement, concrete and other
materials like Wood, Iron, Aluminum and Gypsum Sheets. We use GRC in combination with Ceramics, Marble and Natural Stone
Materials to produce units that are suitable for Housing, Military
and Tourist Projects.
This method is classified under
category of Light Weight Prefab Building (on a turn-key basis). It
is a complete building of one or two floors with traditional
finishing.
Cement Fiber Glass
General Description:
-
Cement Fiber Glass is a material developed from G.R.C
with higher mechanical, physical & chemical specifications.
-
Its stresses are 3 times of reinforced concrete and
the normal life time is not less than 4 times to that.
-
It is not affected by water and humidity, resists
alkalis, acids, salts and sea iodine and insulates the heat.
-
It is very rigid and heavy, high resistance for
friction. It can have a smooth anti-pollution surface.
Composition &
Manufacturing Methods:
-
Cement, Sand, Polymers, Water and Adhesive Materials
-
Reinforced by Distributed Alkaline Fiber Net (A.R
Fiber) which can bear a heave high tension
-
Exposed to a special mechanical operations during
manufacturing to be very right after drying and treatments
A.R Fiber:
A.R. Fiber differs from other fib ers
in the inclusion of Zirconium Oxide (ZRO2) which provides the
Alkaline Sistances property.
The class is melted by electric or
gas heated furnaces, molten glass passes from the furnace to series
of electrically heated outlets which are made of platinum that
defies the high temperature.
A bushing has many hundreds of small
nozzles in its base from which the molten glass exudes and is drawn
into filament 10-20 um in diameter. The fibers pass through a fine
water to freeze. At this stage the fibers are separated as
individual filaments.
Uses of the Material:
-
The material can be used for producing Islamic
Moulding and decoration, precasted light domes, hip tiles and a
very recent facing of buildings.
-
The material is ideal to resist humidity and bad
weathers to perform balcony and entrance and window’s cap.
-
The material can be used for making prefabricated
domes for chalets in tourist villages. The dome of 6 Ø has
thickness not more than 2.5 cm, so it is light and has low cost
and many domes can be constructed in a single day.

Prefabricated Buildings System
Walls:
-
Sandwich Panels 6 cm thick with Heat & Sound
Insulating Core.
-
Panels Bears Two Floors Insulating Life and Dead
Loads.
-
Panels are Semi-Finished and have all Electric and
Water Embedded Pipes. The Panels are surrounded with special
Interlocking made of Wood, Metal or G.R.C which makes it easy for
assembling and make the building one strong and rigid block not
affected by the Storms & Earthquakes.
Ceilings:
-
As Walls but with different Thickness depending upon
Loads and Span of the Bearing Walls. The ceiling panels are
assembled together and also with walls by special Interlocking.
The Ceiling which bears another floor will be reinforced by wood,
steel or G.R.C Beams.
-
It can be Flat, Beached, Dome, Vaults and Shell
Constructions.
Uses of the Prefabricated
Building System:
-
The system serves Housing, Educational, Tourist,
Administrative Exhibitions, Industrial and Military Buildings etc.
-
It has a Manner System with Octagonal shape make
unlimited number of designs as the children Mecano.
-
There are Caravans upto 40 m² including Bathroom,
Kitchen, Water Tank, Drainage Tank and a Generator. It can be
moved on wheels or carried by trucks.
-
Due to the light weight (85 kg/m²), more than one
floor on the roof of the existing buildings can be made.
-
This system is successfully used by the Pilgrims in
Mecca because of its assembling and dissembling features and its
insulation of Heat and Non-Flammability.
Features of the System
-
Complete Isolation of Heat & Sound
-
Non Flammable
-
Never affected by Humidity, Bad Coastal & Desert
Weathers
-
Finished by the normal finishing methods as Ceramic
Tiles, Marble and Pharaonic Stones etc.
-
Easy to assemble and disassemble, hence save time and
resources. Interlocks are used for walls bases and between the
walls and ceiling which results the building as one strong rigid
block, not to be affected by the heavy storms and earthquake
contrary to the other kinds assembled using Bolts/Screw Joints
etc.
-
Cost effective, specially in the places far from the
Cities
-
Can be built on week soils also
-
One or two additional floors can be installed on the
same foundation of an existing building
